Awards
At Everglade, we don't just enter awards for the sake of it. Whilst it is always nice to receive recognition from your peers and increase market awareness, we are more interested in the discipline that comes from the entry categories.
Over the past three years, we have been successful at the G Awards, winning three categories in the glazing industry's highly regarded and longest standing competition. We take our entries extremely seriously and use the criteria to benchmark our service to customers and implement continuous improvements.

G10 Installer of the Year Award
We are honoured to have won our third G-Award - the prestigious Installer of the Year Award at the G10 ceremony held at Wembley stadium.
8 Out Of 10 Cats host Jimmy Carr presented the prize, which was awarded in recognition of our commitment to quality and proven track record for completing complex commercial installations.

Commercial Director Ravji Patel said at the event: "I am delighted we have claimed first prize in such a prestigious category. The competition was very high and it is an honour to come out on top. We have a fantastic team at Everglade who are constantly striving to achieve excellence. It's wonderful to have our achievements recognised by the industry and the trophy will take pride of place at our Perivale headquarters."
Everglade recently became one of only 41 active installation companies in the UK to achieve the BSI Kitemark for Installation, a fact that no doubt aided in impressing the judges. The Kitemark pledge covers paperwork, tools, surveying, staff training, property care, Building Regulations compliance, material quality, inspection and complaints.
Meanwhile, ten of our installers recently gained NVQ Level 2 qualifications, while our on-site processes enabled us to complete a large £900,000 curtain walling project eight weeks ahead of schedule.
"We have worked extremely hard this year to raise standards and offer our customers the best possible service. Scooping the G-10 Installer of the Year is the perfect way to round off 2010 and we hope to build on the success next year," concluded Ravji.

G09 Public Sector Project of the Year Award
Leading fabricator Everglade Windows has beaten off tough competition to win the G09 Social Housing Project of the Year award.
As well as being finalists for two other awards - Energy Efficiency Initiative of the Year and Customer Care Initiative of the Year - Everglade scooped the Social Housing prize at a prestigious ceremony held at Wembley stadium for their project at Larden Road, London.

Ravji Patel, Director of Everglade's commercial division is delighted with the result and would like to thank the hard work and professional attitude of Everglade's team.
"The level of applicants was extremely high and it is a great honour to be recognised by the judges. I would like to dedicate the award to our hard working team who ensured the project was a success and completed to the highest possible standard."
Larden Road, London W3 is a unique £3.6m social housing contract requiring a complete mix of new-build, refurbishment and impressive 7 storey curtain walling. The project was completed on time and on budget to such a standard that additional major contracts have been awarded.
The project involved demolition of 5 factory/warehouse blocks and the refurbishment of two existing blocks. The fenestration ranged from tilt & turn windows and patio doors to large-span curtain walling which incorporated automatic opening vents linked to a fire detection system. Other windows on the development included 4m x 3.5m frames, which required highly specialised manufacturing and installation.
Everglade will be adding the G09 award to a host of other accreditations they have accumulated over the 30 years they have been successfully trading. These include the G08 Training and Development Award, the ISO 9001 : 9002 Quality Management System Award, Investors in People Award and the CHAS (Contractor Health and Safety assessment scheme) accreditation for their commitment to staff development and Health and Safety.
The London based firm are also long standing members of the GGF (Glass & Glazing Federation), CAB (Council for Aluminium in Building), Constructionline and Fensa.
"Adding the G09 Social Housing Project of the Year award to our list of achievements is a great honour and the trophy will take pride of place at our headquarters" concludes Ravji Patel.

G08 Training & Development of the Year Award
Many companies provide training to their staff but at Everglade, we have made it part of our culture - which is why we built purpose-designed, in-house training facilities within our head office and invested £28,000 in training this year alone. This commitment was recognised by the judging panel as we were awarded the Training and Development of the Year Award in 2008.
