Aluminium Fully recyclable building material which, when extruded in modern window systems incorporates a poyamide thermal break for excellent thermal insulation performance.
BREEAM Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method is a way of recognising  environmentally friendly designs for buildings.
Casement A type of window, traditionally opening outwards and hinged from the side or top.
Curtain Walling Non-load bearing building envelope system that can incorporate opening lights and entrance screens. Can be low rise or multi-storey.
Dog Bolt A security device fitted to the hinged side of an opening window. It engages with a keep on the outer frame and acts in conjunction with the locking system to improve security.
