Hat Trick for Everglade at Wembley
We are honoured to have won our third G-Award – the prestigious Installer of the Year Award at the G10 ceremony held at Wembley stadium. 8 Out Of 10 Cats host Jimmy Carr presented the prize, which was awarded in recognition of our commitment to quality and proven track record for completing complex commercial installations.
Commercial Director Ravji Patel said at the event: "I am delighted we have claimed first prize in such a prestigious category. The competition was very high and it is an honour to come out on top. We have a fantastic team at Everglade who are constantly striving to achieve excellence. It's wonderful to have our achievements recognised by the industry and the trophy will take pride of place at our Perivale headquarters."
Everglade recently became one of only 41 active installation companies in the UK to achieve the BSI Kitemark for Installation, a fact that no doubt aided in impressing the judges. The Kitemark pledge covers paperwork, tools, surveying, staff training, property care, Building Regulations compliance, material quality, inspection and complaints.
Meanwhile, ten of our installers recently gained NVQ Level 2 qualifications, while our on-site processes enabled us to complete a large £900,000 curtain walling project eight weeks ahead of schedule.
"We have worked extremely hard this year to raise standards and offer our customers the best possible service. Scooping the G10 Installer of the Year is the perfect way to round off 2010 and we hope to build on the success next year," concluded Ravji.

BSI Kitemark for Installation Award
After a stringent application process, Everglade Windows Ltd has attained the coveted BSI Kitemark for Installation.
The Kitemark is awarded to companies who follow best practice guidelines onsite and whose finished installations meet the strictest quality standards. After intensive testing and inspection, we passed "with flying colours".
Commercial Director Ravji Patel commented: "The BSI Kitemark for Installation is a recognised benchmark for quality and I am delighted we have achieved the award. The Kitemark acknowledges that, by choosing Everglade, you can trust us to deliver quality service on-time and on-budget every time."
Perfect Harmony at the Globe Theatre
Everglade has recently installed products from the new range of Harmony composite timber/aluminium windows and doors at the Globe theatre in Southwark, London.
Designed to combine the traditional aesthetics of the original building used by William Shakespeare in the 16th century with modern high performance, the newly refurbished Globe Theatre needed a window and door solution that was both practical and authentic looking, making Harmony the ideal choice.
Commercial Director Ravji Patel explained: "The Globe Theatre needed windows and doors that combined the hard-wearing properties of aluminium to the exterior and the natural grace of timber to the interior. Our new Harmony range was the ideal solution, meeting both the aesthetic and performance requirements. We manufactured and installed a wide range of window sizes and designs including casements, tilt and turns and vertical sliders."

Top BREEAM marks for Everglade School Project
Everglade has completed a new school project on behalf of the London Borough of Hackney.
Appointed by main contractor Durkan Ltd, Everglade fabricated and installed a wide range of window sizes and styles including casements, commercial doors and curtain walling at Berger Primary School in Hackney, East London.
Everglade's installation helped the building achieve the British Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) Schools 2006 Excellent rating. "To achieve a comfortable learning environment, we ensured the windows provided good ventilation, let in maximum sunlight, were good acoustically and kept the classrooms at a regular temperature" explains Everglade's Commercial Director Ravji Patel.
"To keep the building's overall U Value below 0.8W/m2K, we fabricated and installed thermally broken aluminium profiles and high performance glass, while the frames were powder coated grey to offset the colourful design of the overall building."
