Everglade Windows Technical Department
monitors the market for new developments, enabling us to offer our customers the very best that is available in both quality and price.
The expertise of the Technical Department is not limited to in-house
requirements. They advise architects and planners when they are at the design
stage of new projects. They also participate in Local Authority residents'
meetings, where residents about to be affected by refurbishment projects are
carefully briefed on both the windows and doors to be installed, and the fitting
procedures.
Our technical team will therefore assist you to prepare a specification for
windows and doors to suit your needs and requirements. This ensures the quality
and performance of the project.
Building Regulation Compliance: New regulations introduced after 1st
April 2002 requires all installations to meet improved insulation standards
and a certificate must be issued by building control officers for every
installation.
We ensure that our products comply with
the building regulations as identified by the client.
Estimation:
Everglade Windows qualified team of estimators will prepare detailed
quotations based upon Bills of Quantities (BoQ) or architectural drawings and
visit all client sites prior to tender submission.
Survey: Every Everglade window is measured by a fully qualified surveyor, the details of which are reported for your
approval, as is the adherence prior to contract order using a Pilot window
manufactured specifically to contract specifications.
Manufacture: Everglade Windows
is certified to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 for the manufacture of PVCu double
glazed windows and doors. Our manufacturing teams operate to a quality system,
and their work is externally audited.
Manufacturing
operatives also undergo registered and tailor-made NVQ’s
in glass supporting fabrications, and in-house training
modules for machinery operation and processing,
preparation and xhecks (maintenance) and health and safety
awareness to include manual handling techniques and
continuous improvement techniques.
Installation :
We at Everglade Windows believe that installation
operatives must abide by our own Code of Practice as well
as abiding by the company's site installation supervisory
rules and regulations while working within residential
properties. This ensures that each installation operative
abides by the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) guidelines for window
installation and the British Plastics Federation (BPF)
code of practice. All site staff and installation
operatives undergo training in health and safety and are
certified and tested inline with the construction skills
Certification Scheme (CSCS) at the appropriate level. |
